. These connectors employ insulation displacement technology to allow the efficient splicing of telephone cable conductors without stripping the insulation. Discrete (single wire) connectors can splice two or three wires, whereas, modular (multipair) connectors can splice up to twenty-two wire pairs simultaneously. Options are available for half-tapping and bridging.
